Alright, I'm going to post the same message in several places because I want everyone who needs to be able to read this to be able to read this.
Some of you may have heard about a major snowstorm in Nova Scotia this past weekend. It was expected to be a regular snowstorm turning to rain the next day, nothing out of the ordinary. Instead, it was snow and rain at the same time for two and a half days, and as a result many of the NS power lines (including major transmission towers) were taken down by the storm. This left tens of thousands of people - entire towns and countys - without power. Most of the western part of Nova Scotia was powerless during the onset of an early cold as the days get shorter and shorter.
I decided to go with my parents to stay in New Brunswick for a week. Although they don't a) have internet access (I'm posting this from a Library computer) and b) have a one bedroom apartment it was a much better prospect then sitting in a freezing room without lights, heat, or water (since we're on a well) or food alone. The risk I took was that nobody knew when the power was to come back (except it'd be 'near the end of the week' for most areas) and that I had to stay with my parents until late Friday. Apparently it was a good risk because although power came back in Wolfville either yesterday or the day before (not 100% sure) it still isn't back in New Minas and whether it's back in Coldbrook is a mystery (although doubtful). Power is expected to be back on by Friday, so there will be power there before I get home.
On top of all of this, apparently my comics haven't been updating. I'm not sure why this is, and I was planning on looking into it on this past sunday but the power situation sort of put a stop to that. It seems to be fixed now (I got Andre to send an email to Gav)
So anyway, that's what the deal is, why I'm not here, etc. etc. etc. Whew.
P.S. Katamari Damacy Rules.P.P.S. I'm still short some ADV! guest strips.P.P.P.S. I'm also very lucky I didn't break my arm this week, but that's a story for another time.
