Well, I just donated the first days donations through red cross
- It was 175 dollars
- had to donate through redcross.ca because the redcross.org donation page changed since two days ago. Now you cant put in my province in either address, so I doubt my credit card would work if I put in "European post office box" like it tells me to. Argh. At least redcross.ca had a hurricane katrina fund.
- However, I might not do this next time (I couldnt get the money exactly the right number due to currency differences, but I was only off by 60 cents)
- Donating through redcross.org had no paypal overhead, I assume redcross.ca ahs the same thing too. This is why I decided to use red cross after making the other decision: the other decision was based on the assumption that going into paypal and then out would give paypal the money that United Way would normally take, and I'd rather that money going to United Way instead of Paypal, but that appears to not be the case.
